Opera House Arts Council
The Opera House Arts Council is committed to saving our local theater. We are currently working with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks to raise money for a new digital projector. The theater ran 35mm film until closing in February 2013. The film industry has discontinued use of 35mm film and moved to digital projection. The cost of upgrading the theater to digital projection is $60,000. The goal of the Opera House Arts Council is to keep a theater in the El Dorado Springs community for community use. In order to accomplish this, local citizens have formed a not-for-profit organization to raise the funds needed ensure that our community will have a theater for decades to come. 100% of all proceeds will go to fund the new digital projector.
